Q: I’m 17 years old , i live in England, I’m 165 cm and in 97 kg , i hate my body , I’m depressed, i cry every night . i want to look slim and healthy. my thighs are okay, i have a double chin , most of my weight are on my stomach and i have chubby arms. i have tried exercising but its not working that good. would liposuction be healthy for me ? how much would it cost ? how much fat does one liposuction session take?

A: I’m sorry to hear you are distressed by your physical appearance. Unfortunately, I don’t think liposuction is a great solution for your concerns at this time. The last thing I want to do is hurt your feelings or leave you feeling even worse about your body, but as a physician it is my responsibility to be honest. First off, liposuction is not a weight loss tool. The maximum volume of fat (and fluid) that we remove in the US is 5000 ml. Most of the time that results in minimal, if any, weight loss. Based on my calculations, you are 5’5″ and weigh 213 lbs giving you a body mass index of 35.6. You need to lose weight first. I recognize how difficult this is. Exercising is a great first start, now you need to address your food intake. You may need to visit your doctor or a nutritionist to determine your options for weight loss.

Which diet would be most suitable for losing weight prior to surgery?

Which diet would be most suitable for losing weight prior to surgery?
Q: I would like to bring my BMI down one or two points prior to my surgery and based on my previous dieting experience I do really well on the Atkins, no carb diet and also I had great success with HCG drops in the past. I know losing the weight with healthy eating and exercise is always the better way but thats not very realistic being that i only have 3 weeks to do it. Is there one or the other of these diets that would be beneficial or detrimental in pre op preparation?

A: Everyone is different so there is no one weight loss plan that works for everyone. I offer medical weight loss in my plastic surgery practice just north of Atlanta. I prescribe injectable HCG along with a supervised low calorie diet. I myself and many of my patients have had great success. I feel that being close to your goal weight before surgery is key to a great outcome. For years I advised my patients to lose weight without giving specific guidelines with little success. Adding this service has been very beneficial.

Do you have to be a certain size for liposuction?

Do you have to be a certain size for liposuction?
Q: I am 44 and have had 5 children and can’t seem to loose the stomach or any of the back fat. I developed type 2 diabetes with my last pregnancy. I went to a consultation and was told to just workout, but this isn’t working for me. I want liposuction and fat transfer to butt with body sculpting. I was told by a doctor I could only get a tummy tuck but I keliod and don’t want that.

A: Liposuction is not a tool for weight loss. It is designed to remove stubborn areas of fat from people at or near their goal weight. It can also be used to harvest fat for transfer to other areas of the body like the breasts, butt and/or hips. Transfer to the butt is known as the Brazilian Butt Lift. I perform hundreds of BBLs each year in my surgery center outside Atlanta, Ga. I get my best BBL results on patients who are 15-20 pounds over their goal weight. We also offer medically supervised weight loss for patients desiring plastic surgery, but who still have a significant amount of weight to lose.

Loving My Curves

Loving My Curves

My name is Althea, I live in GA and I am a 46 yr old single mom of 2 beautiful people. I’d like to give the history and fabulousness that is me. I’m originally from Jersey and my highest weight was 255lbs. In the spring of 1994 I had a gastric bypass. Dropped 110 lbs and I was gorgeous. Fell in love, got married and had 2 children. The spring of 2002 I had a body lift after having my 2nd child. Again, gorgeous. Couldn’t tell me nothin. I was able to eat whatever I wanted and not gain any weight. So I thought. As I got older I noticed I began gaining weight. WTF!! Began losing the swag that is me. Oh no honey, not me!!

After relocating to GA I began doing a little research on lipo. Came across Dr Andrew Jimerson. Yaaaayy me!!! I must have researched at least 50 different doctors and I’d always come back to Advanced Plastic Surgery Solutions. I spent hours on that website. Clicking on everything until I finally felt comfortable with my decision.
Best decision I ever made. Got my groove back y’all. Dr J was able to remove the UNWANTED fat from my abdomen, flank ( love handles) and inner thighs and was able to strategically place it in my azzzz. Lol. Gorgeous. Absolutely Gorgeous. Make Kim K look like a boy. Lol. Oh the fun I’m having.
I showed Dr J my wish pic of Nicole Murphy and I was very clear when I explained to him what I wanted, ā€œThe upside down heartā€. And that’s exactly what he gave me. I had realistic expectations, I mean Nicole Murphy has a dynamite figure. However, giving him a clear understanding of my desired look, certainly helped. I’m thrilled to the core. Gotta be honest, I love the attention from the opposite sex. Yes y’all. When I walk pass a guy and I hear him say ā€œDamnā€ I know I’m bad. Lol. Or even better, when I walk pass and I look in the reflection of a window or mirror and watch them turn their heads. Lol. Love it Love it.
My only regret is simply I didn’t do it sooner. Love Love Love Advanced Plastic Surgery Solutions. More importantly Love Love Love Dr J. He gave me back the sexy that is me.
