Gym Rats are in for a Big Surprise……..

Gym Rats are in for a Big Surprise……..

Do you find it difficult to make time to go to the gym? Do you work out often and eat healthy yet still can’t quite get the muscle definition that you desire?

On today’s episode of CurveLife TV we will see this patient turn his spare tire into sculpted, chiseled and contoured six pack!!

Some people go to the gym all the time and they just can’t get the definition that they desire in their abdomen. Abdominal Etching enhances what you already have. This procedure does not create muscles; it is simply removing the overlaying fat of the abdomen and muscle lining in a strategic fashion to emphasize your natural musculature.

Abdominal Etching/Hi-Def Liposculpture/3D liposculpture works best for people within a normal weight range that are looking for better definition. The contouring techniques used can help you achieve a narrower waistline and sculpted abs. Both women and men struggle with that tough layer of fat over the abdominal muscle that is keeping them from having a six pack.

Abdominal Etching is not for everyone. Ideally you will need to be physically fit and close to your ideal body weight for optimal results. If your body fat is more that 20 % you are not likely to be a candidate for this procedure.

Is Fat Grafting Permanent? See if This Patient Still Has Her Curves 4 ½ Years Later…..

Is Fat Grafting Permanent? See if This Patient Still Has Her Curves 4 ½ Years Later…..

One of the most frequently asked questions that I get during a consult is “Is Fat Grafting Permanent?” and my answer is simple.

No cosmetic procedure is permanent, because our bodies continue to change and age over time. However, when a fat transfer procedure is performed correctly and the patient is compliant post operative, approximately 50%-70% of the fat survives and is essentially permanent. The percent that doesn’t survive is reabsorbed by the body.

Maintaining your weight after fat grafting will yield the best results. Excessive dieting and fat burning exercises will affect your fat grafting results dramatically. As you age you may lose fat in certain areas of the body and to replace that you may want to have additional fat grafting done.

The best part of my job is seeing my patients happy and looking great! The most rewarding part is when they refer me to family and friends or when they come back for an additional procedure. This patient all the way from Chicago, Illinois had 900 cc’s of fat grafted to each buttock and 200 cc’s to each hip 4 ½ years ago. We will soon be performing a breast reduction/lift so stay tuned to see her results.

Does Your Family Support Your Choice to Have Plastic Surgery?

Does Your Family Support Your Choice to Have Plastic Surgery?

Your decision to have Plastic Surgery could have a huge effect on your friends and family. Some may disagree on your choice to have Plastic Surgery and try and talk you out of your decision, while others may be supportive and stand by your side every step of the way. You will find that it will be difficult to convince some people that you are making a good decision by having Plastic Surgery. The decision is all yours and you don’t need anyone’s approval to have Plastic Surgery, nevertheless you will need support and care after surgery. It is always best to have the support of your family when you decide to have Plastic Surgery and a great way to gain the support is to educate them on all of the great benefits it will bring into your life and how wonderful it will make you feel.

On today’s episode of CurveLife TV, we welcome our patient from Fayetteville, North Carolina who is here accompanied and supported by her mother. She is 27 years old, weighing 155 lbs. and her height is 5’6”. We enhanced the beauty that she already has with 800 cc’s of fat in each buttock and 200 cc’s of fat in each hip.

Will Your Health Stop You From Having Surgery? Yes it Will See Why….

Will Your Health Stop You From Having Surgery? Yes it Will See Why….

Plastic Surgery is more than just waving a magic wand and giving you a new body, its major surgery! So it’s necessary to maintain good health to be a candidate for Plastic Surgery.

On today’s episode of CurveLife TV you will watch how our patient was facing some health issues prior to her surgery. She was able to get her health under control and give herself a wonderful gift for her 47th birthday. Watch her experience from the day of surgery through her 1 week post-op appointment.

Are You a Candidate for Cosmetic Surgery?

A good candidate for Plastic Surgery is a person of good health, with reasonable expectations and someone who understands the possible risks that are associated with plastic surgery.

Some of the most common serious health problems that may disqualify you as plastic surgery candidate are Diabetes, Hypertension (High Blood Pressure), Anemia or any bleeding disorder, Rhuematological disorders, Immune System Deficiencies, Cancer, Heart Disease, and Severe Mental Disorders.

Smoking is a definite NO when it comes to having surgery! We require patients to stop smoking completely for 4 – 6 weeks prior to surgery and continue 4-6 weeks after surgery. Smoking constricts your blood vessels and restricts the binding of oxygen, which reduces the amount of oxygen that is available to your cells. You will not heal as well after your surgery without the necessary amount of oxygen in your cells for proper healing. Some risks associated with smoking are prolonged healing time, hypertrophic scarring, wound separation and skin necrosis (skin death). Smokers are also more likely to have complications during anesthesia and develop infections after surgery. Smokers have a higher risk of being hospitalized after surgery.
